As many of you know, I am passionately pro-life. I came to point where I knew that I had to do something. So...how could a teenager try to help in the abortion issue? Good question. I believe in the "power of the pen". I can write pro-life material. I also love video editing-who else watches YouTube? That appeared as an option. I also (clearly) enjoy designing websites. Getting it all together, what do you think has been happening between posts here?
Let me introduce Umbilical Cord, a pro-life website that is currently in development. Hopefully it will reach beyond the internet at some point. Don't go looking it up just yet-it is still being developed and is not published yet (trust me, I'll tell you when it does). The website is called Umbilical Cord after the organ. Just as the organ carries life to a pre-born child, we need to be doing our best to protect and provide life to the pre-born children at home and around the world. Unfortunately, abortion is legal in many countries, and the total of tiny victims is constantly growing. The three areas that Umbilical Cord is currently trying to focus on are prevention of abortion (encouraging purity, gathering lists of crisis pregnancy clinics that help provide other options, videos including statistics), remembering the victims of abortion (memorials, videos), and stopping abortion (writing to leaders, petitions, prayer chains). All of that with a LOT of prayer. At first it may not be much, but hopefully it will be something that God can use for the cause of life.
Why am I telling you this? I am telling you this so that you can get involved. Your prayers are needed-not just for the development of this website, but for the many women making decisions for or against life TODAY, at this moment. Pray for them. Pray for crisis pregnancy clinics, for laws, for the abortionists. Pray that God will work.
If, like me, you feel led to do more than pray, there is more that you can do. I know that many of you write-if you have written something for the cause of life that you would like to share, it may be able to be used by Umbilical Cord. You can contact me by e-mail or through one of the many contact forms scattered across this blog and website! Poems or other pro-life material can be turned into YouTube videos (with your permission and involvement) or posts.
I just want to add a note that I do not hate those who have abortions. I am against their decision to do so, but I understand that many believe it to be their only choice. That's why I am trying to be involved in the fight for life-so that more people will know that life is a gift from God that nobody has a "right" or "choice" to stop.
God bless!
