Now, a beautiful song with a message to change your life! Enjoy, and take it away to use in your life!
With love,
Indi
Next post will be Canada day, and then there will be basically a post each week at some point until August. In August, I will explain. I just hope all these scheduling buttons are working-I'll be away from this blog for a little bit, but hopefully posts will continue to appear! Now, a beautiful song with a message to change your life! Enjoy, and take it away to use in your life! God bless you as you give Him your life!
With love, Indi

New to YouTube-"Cut and Polished" audio recording from Rainy Day Recordings. I will post the video here. Sorry for any confusion-plays aren't audio dramas by nature, so this would be confusing to any who have not read the play itself (find it on the sidebar in the "Plays" or "Play Scenes" posts). Also, I do not do well with low voices for men, so forgive my rendition of James! I did this all this morning, so it is a little rushed and not as polished as a real audio drama. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I've been in a hurry and rushed with other parts of my life. I will have posts in July though, even though I won't be able to respond to comments often. Just a warning! :D God bless, and enjoy this video! Indi John 3:16 I just got a lot of ideas tonight (well, yesterday by the time this goes up on the blog!). They were for some plays and skits and such. Three of the four on heavier material, and one that could be as humorous as I like! And then I had another idea-if I put up several skits and short plays and the like on the blog, would you like for me to put on a contest or something for people to record themselves acting (or record the dialogue) and be judged? The play "Cut and Polished" could be used (by the way, did I mention that that play won a gold at a camp I went to? It placed around 93-94 points!), plus some new ones I hope to get up (the aforementioned). If you are interested in my doing something like that, let me know in the comments below and I will start work on that idea in earnest. :D I would get some plays up, make up a form or something, and try to get the word out to as many people as I could (and ask you readers to do the same!). These would be simple skits or plays that could be done with four or so people. A lot that I would like can be girls (as I think primarily girls read this blog), but they could be done by families, youth groups, church members, or best friends hanging out for an afternoon. I already have a play I could put up-another gold winner, called "The Name 'Christian'". It has a powerful message (although when some cabin mates and I acted it at camp around 10:30 at night, with one high on sugar and myself as "Voice of Persecutor", and laughing angels and dead Christians, it was a little TOO funny-especially compared to the somber tone of the script-to be realistic!). Anyway, please comment (those who read and don't comment, don't hesitate to say hi and give your opinion!) whether or not you (and family/friends/youth group) would enjoy a challenge like that!
I was thinking of doing a (perhaps) single-handed recording of "Cut and Polished" for the blog. I can use a program to change my voice, but let me know if you would bother to listen! So please comment and pass this page on! I'd like to know as soon as possible if there is an interest so I can plan. I have a really busy summer coming up, so I need to blog some scheduled posts, and then try to get back here whenever possible! God bless, readers! Indi Raine John 3:16 I'm so glad to be back! Finally... :)
You may be asking from the title, "What is Jiu Jitsu and why do you like it?" I will explain, my friends. I had a lesson in Jiu Jitsu last month, and enjoyed it immensely! In fact, I want to learn more. Jiu Jitsu (I did Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) is a leverage-based, self-protection martial art. I is based on the idea that if you are attacked, you are probably being attacked by someone who thinks that they can handle you. Thus, the attacker is generally bigger and stronger than you are. And the instructor pointed out the obvious-you do not want to become involved in a boxing match with a larger person! You are likely to become hurt when you do that. How did I get introduced? I am in a girls club for homeschool, high school teen girls, and in May our monthly activity was decided to be a self-defense course. One of the moms of the members found an instructor for something. When we arrived, we learned that it was Jiu Jitsu. (Thankfully, I had a notebook along to scribble down the title) The instructor and his assistant started us off with some warm-up exercises. And then the girls broke into teams. One of us would do the part of the aggressive person while the other acted the part of the victim. One of the first thing that I did was learn how to lift my partner with my feet around her hips. Amazing! Now, I still need to work on that. I usually end up pushing the partner back. Oh, and as I am a petit girl, I was the smallest in the class-in height, weight, everything. Its very obvious, I believe! I think that is why I found Jiu Jitsu to be so rewarding-I could do some exercises so well that my slightly larger partner said she would not want to be in a fight with me. I learned how to fall, throw, stand up, keep the "bad guy" away, how to get out of neck locks, and-don't pass out as I get gruesome-performs chokes and break elbows! One of my younger siblings loves the moves I taught them. The other-being a bit larger and stronger than I am-laughs at it. That one loves to try to wrestle with me-however, hopefully they learn some in case they ever need to know these moves! I loved Jiu Jitsu! Well, I'll try to be back soon! God bless! Indi Raine John 3:16 Sing and dance! I finished school for the year! Finally-I can focus on some other parts of my life, like getting some more posts on this blog! I'm so sorry for the long gaps between posts lately-please understand that I was doing ten-class school days near the end, and often working over the weekend as well. I appreciate you all coming back to check this blog (I assume you have if you are reading this). I was told the other week by a friend (I'll call her Jessica Song-I believe that she can decode her name from that!) that she was following this blog. I'm grateful! Also, Faith nominated me for a random question post thingymajig that I'm looking forward to taking care of here! And then I'll introduce you all to my new blog, and my current favourite songs, and my current writing projects, and my fighting fish, and my tour of a police academy, and explain my recent excitement with the martial art of jiu jitsu, and...(sparing several pages of plans) lots of other fun and interesting and educational plans or ideas!
I feel so badly for neglecting you all so badly, but I will plan to set this up with posts so that I won't be causing a dearth of posts when I will be unable to post. Well, I am tired from having implemented some drastic measures for cramming and taking exams yesterday and today, so I'd best go. I have to get ready to head to bed, so I hope that you will all read this and take hope until I decide which topic to tackle first! Comment and give me your opinions on what you'd like an update on firstly, and maybe if you are faster than me, I'll oblige your tastes! And to all those struggling to finish school-believe me, you'll get it done! Trust me-I know from first-hand experience that anything is possible! Indi R., finished of her current grade John 3:16 |
