I am your citizen. I love you. I will defend you. Millions have died for you, and I think of them when I think of you. I also think of fields, beaches, forests, mountains, hills, farms, towns, cities-but most of all, I think of the people. Canada was created by God, but allowed to be built by people (by God's grace). I will always be proud of being Canadian. God blessed me by putting me in the best nation in the world, and I will never forget you, no matter where I roam. Canada is just home, sweet home. I love you, Canada. Please, stay the beautiful symbol you are, of freedom and safety and refuge to the hurt and lost. I thank you for your care of me, and the chances I have been given and will be given for freedom and a choice to serve my God the way I choose. I thank you for all these. Of course, I thank God for these as well, because He gave you to me and me to you. You are just the nation that I will display as my home, and will proudly announce my heritage to, no matter who finds my loyalty amusing or unusual. We Canadians are not always vocal, but a good many of the good stock are proud of their heritage, and would give their blood to protect you. I'm not sure if I could fight in a war-I can't bear the thought of killing someone. But for my country-that might be different. I would be a supporter of protecting my country-that much is sure.
God bless you, Canada!
Love your loyal citizen and patriot,
