HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!! ONLY ONE MORE SLEEP 'TIL CHRISTMAS DAY!!!! ARE YOU EXCITED, ECSTATIC, WILD WITH JOY????!!!!!
Sorry that I didn't post on Saturday. It was SUCH a busy day! I'm sure many of you are are experiencing the same phenomenon that suddenly makes you extremely busy at this time of year (a.k.a. Christmas!!!).
Alright, sorry! I know that Christmas Eve is a bit late to be posting gift ideas! But these are some fun ideas that I am using. They would make good gift any time, and those of you who are crafty might enjoy them as fun ideas.
Here we go!
A good gift idea that I am giving to several people (with several modifications on each one!) is personalized dvds. I take movies that I have taken (you can also make slideshows of pictures and put the slides to music), edit them up (special effects, etc.) and then burn them to a disc. You can give this as a special gift to anyone from little kids to grandparents. Believe me-that's what I'm doing! If everything goes well (sorry! That "if" is there for good reason! That "if" has given me lots of frustration!), you can do the burning very quickly. Make sure that you have a burn program. Purchase one right off, once you find one that you like. WARNING: "Water marks" are giant print things done in red right across your movies. They are annoying, and do not leave the video after awhile. Do NOT burn a movie with a mark on it and give it to friends or family! A good idea would be to preview your movie before you give it away-that way you can see that it burnt correctly and such!
Another idea is to make a cob web catcher. I made one, and they are fun to make and decorate! Get a broom handle and a glove-white or tan would be best. You also need stuffing. Stuff the middle finger stiffly. Then glue the end of the broom handle into the middle finger underneath of the stuffing. Use a hot glue gun in this step. Then continue to stuff the rest of the glove until it is stiff. When the glove is stuffed firmly and is able to stand out on its own, then tie with a string around the end of the glove. Then you can write a notice like "Web catcher", "Webs be gone", or something along those lines. This would be a good gift for a short woman who wants to be able to clean all those corners in her house which her darling husband or sons are too busy to clean for her!
Make a pet cook book with stories! For that pet lover, make a little cook book for their favourite animal type (or types). You can make up some recipes of your own, or Google recipe ideas on your computer (just make sure to reference). Put in some photos. Make it a dog chef writing the cook book, or a collection of recipes from a cat restaurant.
Here is a little haiku for Christmas!
Christmas
by Indi Raine
Its Christmas time now!
Celebrate Jesus' birth
As snowflakes fall down.
Well, I have to go. So much to do, and decreasing time! I still have a gift to finish up, and other stuff.
I'll try to be back tomorrow, if possible!
Until then, enjoy the next few hours until Christmas! Are you counting the minutes? (I'm not that crazy, but if YOU are, then congratulations! Can I help you find counseling? How long have you had this condition? If you are ten and under, that's actually okay. If your older, than relax a bit and get in a frenzy about other stuff!)
God bless you all! Don't forget, in all the excitement, that Jesus is the reason for the season.
With Christmas love, blessings, and good cheer,
Your crazy writer,
Indi Raine
