I'm back, and sooner than I thought I would be! I was making chocolate chip cookies for a gathering I'm attending, and the dough is chilling now. So, I thought I'd take this time to do some more blogging.
I love writing haikus, so I wrote one about blogging to share with you.
Blogging
by Indi Raine
Blogging is so fun,
Especially when I write
Stories for you all.
In fact, I've written quite a few haikus lately. First, I'll explain the form of poetry!
The haiku is a form of Japanese poetry, consisting of three lines. The first line consists of five syllables, the second line of seven, and the third of five. Often haikus are about nature. As the lines do not have to rhyme, it is easy to write (and loads of fun!!!). I love rhyme and cadence, but I also enjoy the simplicity of these poems. All you have to do is think out a sentence, and then match up the syllables!
So, now you can enjoy several more haikus!

Irish Dance Practice

Step, shuffle, tap, click,
Kick, step, leap in the air fast-
Irish dance practice time.
Riddle

Puzzle out what I
Shall now pose as a problem-
Find out my answer!
Banished Fear
by Indi Raine
Why am I afraid?
God promises to care for
His children in need.
Icicle
by Indi Raine
Sharp needle of pure
Water, hanging from the roof-
A new icicle.
Star of My Friendship
by Indi Raine
Star of my friendship,
Yet watched for a promise made
Many years ago.
Well, are you tired of these yet? I made up Riddle, Banished Fear, Icicle, and Star of My Friendship just now.
These haikus are just so beautiful! I love using them to express small thoughts.
If you want to write a haiku in the comments, I'd love to read it!
Brown

Match in perfect harmony
In a fall-time brown.
Loneliness

Loneliness in the
Winter swallows me up-a
Bird in a snowstorm.
Promise
by Indi Raine
Lovely promise, come,
Knock on my door and kindle
Hope within my heart.
Oh, I took all those pictures myself! I love my camera!
Well, I think that this is long enough to make a good post. I need to start baking that cookie dough (with TONS of chocolate chips in it; don't you wish you were here?! :D)!!!
See you on Saturday, Lord willing!
God bless you all!
Indi
P.S. Is changing the colours all the time annoying? I wanted my different haikus to stick out from one another and the rest of my writing (plus I also love the different colours!). But if it is hard to read, I can try to moderate it a bit more!
P.S.S. I am going to put a "feed reader" up on the side of my blog. From my research, that will allow those of you who want e-mail notification of new blog posts to get your notifications! Try it out, and see if it works!
